Morning

This is to do with the post i made the other morning checked the hived swarm last night ,they have filled a super almost ,i have added another .The bees are covering all the brood box frames and are starting to pack pollen and nectar here ,this is a large swarm ,i was not expecting to see so much activity so soon will the queen start to lay up straight away or will she take a couple of days to settle?

Usually a couple of days to get back into lay.

Remember they are dying off at the moment and not being replaced so the numbers will shrink for the next three weeks.

Swarms are programmed to motor.
If you have a mated queen in there are reports on this forum of her starting to lay as soon as the first cells are drawn.
A virgin queen may take a couple of weeks....i think
I'm looking in one swarm hived 6 days ago (absolutely sure not mine) today.

Good advice learned something today had forgot no eggs means no brood ,the things you forget ,thanks polyhive.
