Half thinking of buying one ATM. All hives here are on mesh floors on pallets, can it be done from under the floor or does the floor have to be sealed?

All floors are homemade and wouldn't work great using the entrance. Also no inspection tray so would be a pain to seal up omf.

Little advantage in spending all that dosh on a Sublimox to then add it under the floor ... the hive really needs to be sealed and you just push the nozzle through a 6mm hole in the side wall of the floor or an eke over the brood box.

If you're doing it from underneath an OMF I'd save £300 and buy one of the pan-type models.

But ... I have a Sublimox and am very pleased with how easy and effective it is when used as described.

If using poly hives an sealed eke over the brood box with the floor also sealed is good. A hole in side wall will get enlarged (melt) due to heat. If you put a clear cover over the eke you can watch the vapor disperse down into the hive
