Thank you. I would like hundreds, maybe thousands of such "Queen identification" practices. Maybe there should be a "Sticky" for us beginners so the "Wise ones" can pop on some similar things :)
 
Bit off topic and not at all relevant....but that looks like a shallow frame rather than a deep. Is that the case and if so why? Maybe brood and a half? Just idle curiosity.

Yes it is a shallow super frame, it is a long story how it has happened i will sort it out in spring by sticking it above the Queen Excluder and leave them on brood + half for now.

You can spot the entourage around her - because of that I spotted this one quickly - and far quicker than over ever spotted one in real life!

Entourage makes no difference for thee they could be around anything smashed comb through splitting frames with nectar dribbling and so on..;)
