not too bad a 1st year, second new queen (replacing lost queen from Swarmed hive) The single queen cell top chewed off still there and loads of BIAS. They have covered the QX in built up comb filled with honey so I scooped it back in for them and what dripped off into the roof I cleaned up and got to taste.

looking at having a few frames from the parent hive as they appear to have a lot of honey built up in the half brood.

1)Will a queen go through a rhombus escape? just in case she is in the top half brood
2)Should I leave it nearer to September to look at removing a few frames of honey? If I can i'll take 4or8 stores depending as that's what my extractor holds,

if I feed in 2nd week September I could take them then would that be best? Then give apiguard?

Now officially a local born and mated 2 queen 2 hive owner and 100 posts lol

No queen wont go through nor will they leave her. If you think she is above, find her and gently put her lower. Then you can rhombus, but they wont leave brood so maybe QE in, and when brood hatched.. then rhombus.
