Mike A....Probably one of the following:

1. National hives (too small) for most queens

I keep an A m ligusta Italian variety in old small WBC brood (10 frame) boxes... and they seem to do very well in them... occasionally go brood 1/2+ (10) frame super sized.

Light weight Cedar.. and ideal for children to manage !

But then I am not a honey farmer!

Hi you two,
Swarm catching is the best part! Apparently, you can combine three casts without finding the queens. For some reason they will not fight, I have been told, but accept each other. Check it out!

Hi Beeno,

Do you have any further details on how to do this? I haven't come across this before but would find it useful.
