A premium rate telephone number is a telephone number which begins with 070, 084, 087, 09 and 118 (and five-digit mobile short codes).

0906 numbers are not real. They are used in TV shows. It's a hoax.

My mum keeps sending me these hoaxes, which she gets from Facebook.

Don't answer calls from an 0906 number as it will be some kind of scam. However, dialing an 0906 number won't take you anywhere.
