As per title which is the best to use to clear the supers in busy hives?

I make my own with two rhombus ones side by side which gives four escapes. Works a treat!

Not used 8 way but the difference between rhombus and porter is significant. Looks like JBM has given me another thing to try next year !

For me its the Rhombus every time, much quicker and less returns

I've had one on for over a week once (forgotten whilst loading up a truckload at an out apiary) and no bees returned although, I have observed that with just a conventional centrally located rhombus, the bees will start to find their way back in after a day or two.

Mine are all like that .. although I picked up a couple of Paynes Poly ekes and they worked well with rhombus escapes last year:

I 3D print a vortex triangle bee escape, works a treat, cheap as chips, I have one for every hive.

I use rhombus to.. I've tried porta bee escapes and the bees don't clear very easily..

The bees seem to find there way back up if u leave them to long.

I use the same shape on my clearer boards but just made from ply - sadly no 3d printer!
