These have many books online

http://tinyurl.com/7j3szd6

and it would be good to donate a few pounds to help them keep it alive.

Plus http://tinyurl.com/http-archive-org-search-php

which gives a whole shed-load from everywhere. A tip: When you get to the page where you can read the book, look on left hand side towards the top and it says "View other formats" click there and then click "Read online Pdf" Voila! A book with pages to turn.

Hope that's helpful for someone.

These people do a nice job for beekeepers too:

Other lessons are in brown at header.

Here's their Homepage http://www.gobeekeeping.com/

All needs some understanding that not everything is up to date but you will no doubt tell newbees that anyway.

This post really shows what is best about this forum. Where else could I get the valued opinions of so many beekeepers in such a short time. Great suggestions from you all and in many cases with reasons for the choice. Thanks especially to Nic Rhodes for such an extensive collection and Susbees for highlighting the many problems associated with managing a society library.

Thanks again

"highlighting the many problems associated with managing a society library."

Yes, we fell foul of this when suggesting doing book lists in a table (Microsoft) to be easily indexable by Title or Author and doing it in landscape to get info across one line.

It was ju-ju and there started a rift that could only widen ..........
