During manipulation marked Queen and placing her back on quiet part of brood frame a bee jumped her head and stung her - sprayed water and separated them but Q was fairly dazed and staggering about the frame -didn't look to good going down between frames - anticipate the worst. Next hive looking for unmarked Q finally found an obvious looking ball of bees an yes in the middle was Q - the handy water spray curtailed activity and allowed her removal marking and return to lower Brood Box where she walked unmolested - fingers crossed - never a dull moment in bee keeping. Anyone an idea as to why they would ball her?
