PinW, That is the info we collect in Devon from a sample of 20% of the 600+ members of the DBKA. How many colonies had you going in to winter, incl nucs, how many did you lose and what do you think the reasons were? We have been doing it for a few years now. From memory last winter (08/09) losses were about 22%, a slight reduction from the previous year. But for 09/10 I suspect they may go up again due to the recent bad weather.
