This plant is a self-set in a friends garden. It attracts bumble bees and some honey bees and lots of birds, perhaps for the berries.
Does anyone know what it is please?

Also known as Pheasant Bush. The berries are rich in vitamin C and my chickens used to love them. Me not so keen, a bit sugary.

Thanks for your reply Enrico. I have been given some for my garden and look forward to seeing them in bloom and covered in bees.

This arrived in my garden as a volunteer, too. It's a bit of a survivor - chopped it back to ground level last year and it's come back even stronger and taller - and with more flowers. I've never seen anything, not bird nor bee nor owt else on it, though!
