All,
I have seen various pictures like the one I have attached and have wondered how this effect is achieved.

I heard that the person daubs themselves in a pheromone and puts the queen in a cage in their pocket...but how do they avoid getting stung or bees that wander into noses, ears, eyes, etc?

L.E. Snelgrove's "Swarming, it's control and prevention" book has his nibs pictured on the cover with a full beard of bees. It was achieved by tucking the caged queen under his chin

Finman used to have his avatar as himself (presumably) with a beard of bees. He doesn't have an avatear at present, maybe we could persuade him to reinstate it
