Think I've seen a couple of other Irish-based members here, so... the 2012 North Tipperary Beekeepers' Association beginners' course starts on Weds. 1st February but there's a free Introduction to Beekeeping lecture as well for people to try before they sign (& pay) up - it's on tomorrow, Weds. 25th.
Cost is €100 for six lectures (not including the free intro lecture) plus an apiary practical demo. Lectures take place in the Teagasc offices, Nenagh Road, Thurles. Cost includes membership of the North Tipp. BKA, FIBKA (Federation of Irish Beekeepers' Associations), a book on beekeeping and a year's subscription to the monthly beekeeping journal An Beachaire.
