Hi All,

Posted on Monday that I thought both of my hives from an AS we're queenless. Found now eggs or queen present, went in today to put a test frame in each but found two large queens with a few sporadic eggs on the central frames. This is roughly 2 weeks after the queens hatched from the queen cells.

Do all queens start laying slow or sporadically or could I possibly end up with a DLQ?

Your thoughts would be appreciated!

Thanks

Andy

Yes.

No.

Patience.

Given the weather they have done well. They will do even better with out the 'keeper prying every ten minutes.

Yes I realised that now! I'm certainly no expert! The weather was Perfect for mating where I was a few weeks back.

I'm in a similar position waiting to see if Queens have mated... patience I believe is the key... After emerging it could take 4 weeks, I read somewhere on the internet today...
