Thanks for letting me join this group! I started keeping bees in 1994 and had 900 colonies 10 years ago. I’m aging so stopped beekeeping and I’m now trying to develop a honey bottling business. I bought a Swienty filler and table for bottling and a Carl Fritz creamer and chiller. Just started the creamer and it looks pretty good so far —wish me luck!!

I’m always interested in beekeeping in other parts of the world. According to google your part of the USA has warm summers and very cold winters so a couple of questions for you.
When you were managing 900 hives did you wrap them, store them in sheds or other to get them through the winter?
With regards to your honey packing business do you have plenty of suppliers lined up and will you sell the honey under your own brand?
