There's a lot you need to know so join an association, hit the books, book yourself onto a beginners course.

This forum will help you with queries once you get started but you have a lot to do yourself. Plan to start next year in April or May and spend the interim period doing your research and getting your equipment bought or built. There's a bit more to the beekeeping lark than a first look would suggest ...
