Hi

I'm Iain and my son Barney and I are from Northumberland. We are members of the Alnwick Beekeepers association and at present have no bees ourselves but hopefully we will son. Barney is the 9year old driving force of this new hobby and is so into it he took the day off school recently to help the association exhibition at the Northumberland Children's agricultural show. A whole day in a bee suit in a hot tent explaining propolis to thousands of kids.... He's dedicated to this hobby :)

Brilliant!

Really good to hear of keen youngsters taking up the craft.

Don't forget to play nicely; dads have a habit of taking over the train set!

Enjoy the Forum - though you may want to 'moderate' it on behalf of Barney!

Keep us posted.

Thanks, I'll be moderating :) It's definitely a train set I've got interested in! I thought he was mad when he started on about it a year ago. Many countryside shows, a couple of courses and a few hive inspections later and he's dragged me in ;)

Will let you know how we get on. Thanks for the welcome, will show him tomorrow
