Neonics are water soluble migratory pesticides which remain active in the ground for years so they can accumulate in sinks on the land and if those sinks happen to contain flowering plants such as in a hedgerow then they can manifest themselves years after they have been sown. HMG has against the advice of its own agencies issued emergency use of Cruiser SB for the last three years - more than enough time for accumulation effects to surface.

Yes which is part of the reason behind the EU wide ban. All of the arguments were rehearsed on the forum under the stairs from about 2012 until the ban.

Losing an entire colony while its neighbour remained unscathed?
All things are possible however unlikely.. A mass Alien probing event is also possible…..But that storey would only be suitable for the Sunday Sport!

Oh Dear ... we are straying into the cupboard under the stairs ... PESTICIDES are not for open discussion here. It inevitably strays into arguments so, I'm locking the thread, let's leave it at that. We have no idea what killed the bees in Kent and the person who's bees they were is not even a member.
