Any with sky it’s on Quest atm quite good actually. Certainly worth a look.

It was quite interesting to watch. What got me was how amateurish they seemed. The tracking set up seemed very Heath Robinson, they should of had a chat with the Jersey guys to get some of their little tracking units.

Thanks Ian. Finally caught up with this. Like Neil says, they could do with some advice from more experienced hornet hunters.
Didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at the landowner at the end.

first Asian Hornets in Jersey (Vespa Velutina) 2016 and Vespa mandarinia in USA Washington State and Vancouver island Canada in 2019. I doubt much was in the public domain that USDA would have seen about the 'Jersey Hornet Hunters' and probably approached Japanese colleagues for advice. however great innovation and experimentation brought them success eventually with lots of lessons learned. Jersey of course is 119.5 square Km whilst Washington State ...184,830 sq Km
worryingly one specimen of V. madarinia taken was shown to be from another separate introduction...
