Now, at page three you are telling us these were bought in laying queens?
Omitting useful information, if this was the case (ie if I am right), is akin to computer results. Rubbish in, rubbish out.
We appear to have moved on from two apparently thriving colonies, which were guessed as newly mated queens, to page two where all the analysis was pro a re-queen job, and now we find, on page three, this was a new queen purchase? And nearly another week gone by.
Please, please, tell us the whole story at the beginning - and the problem could be sorted in a much shorter time-scale.

My question was - is multiple eggs in cells always a sign of Laying workers or can there be another explanation. I think this was answered and thanks to all for that.
I think you suggested that I wasn't able to tell by the look of it if it was laying workers (i don't think i can) so I put some pics up for opinion.
They were both new queens and one seems to have all settled but this hive has not.
