Moving a hive

My beebuddy wants to move a WBC hive about 4 metres. What is the best way to do this? Would moving the hive a metre every few days be the best method, or should he leave the time between each move for longer?Thanks.

No, that's fine - you could probably do it three feet a day

You can move the hive furthest (2m?) on each step if the move is "backwards" - away from the entrance.
I'd suggest rather smaller steps (half metre?) if moving sideways.

Make it easy? Put the hive on a barrow/trolley, and move the trolley each (flying) day.
