Anyone know if Ubuntu will recognise this:

VODAFONE K3570-Z Pay as You Go Mobile Broadband Dongle - 2GB Data Allowance

PH

I'd be surprised if it does'nt. Linux seems to pick up so much more hardware these days.

Thanks for that. I am waiting for Vodaphone to get back to me on whether any of their dongles work in Linux... and Car Phone Whatsit on the end of the phone had never heard of Linux.... oh dear.

I see no reason why it shouldn't work - I use linux exclusively, and have far less problem with it than the dreaded Windoze - the slogan is "it just does it", which is pretty true! (I've used O2 dongles with no probs at all - plug it in, off it goes!)

I use one of them Vodafone dongle's and you might want to note that it will only work with a fast (series 2) USB port. Software should automatically load from the dongle after couple of seconds of connecting.

Not sure about Linux.

I dont even know where my cell phone is...............:)
