12 14x12 hives. 2 standard nationals and 8 14x12 nucs.
My second crop of honey, from the two hives I have at home in the garden has a very pleasant minty after taste. So any ideas what might give them this taste. No fields of mint around her.
 
I posted the same a few days ago. I purposely moved my colonies to a location under a vast lime and ash woodland. Paid dividends. Extracted first super and 12 kilos of delightfully light citrussy and minty honey. Absolutely fabulous
 
Ah, I wondered that too! My village is full of lime trees! Beautiful honey. Now I know :)
 
I really need to brush up on my tree identification. It has the same taste as the honey I took of this time last year, it very nice indeed.
