Methods & Acceptable levels of filtration ???

Can't get my head around how people can keep submitting the same past winning jars of honey season after season and still pick up a certificate, surely it should be based on that seasons produce.
Am I missing something here !!!

How do you prove that an entry is submitted year upon year and how can it be proved that a entry is not from that years extraction?
As for showing, the tougher the judges are, the better in my opinion. Then winning actually means something.

I guess if it was easy to date Honey or was a perishable product such as a cake then from the outset of the shows it would be that years, as we can't then it can be repeatably re-entered year on year.
 
To be fair to the judges they need to start some place to thin the numbers down so if it says 2 matching jars I would think that’s the place to start.

And no rusty lids (seen that!)
