Yes , they are now in my back garden, I put a nuc box in the 2 spots and collected this morning and are now in a bb reunited , There was 2 buckets of honey also

Fair play I hope they treat you well in the new season after all your efforts good on you smiley face....

Did you see the queen? Certainly got your winter bees then. Where in Ireland are you?

Can i ask for learning purposes, this late in season were they put into drawn frames? Or Did you cut out their comb and transfer? If they went into nucs to collect them and then put into hive will they have enough brood and stores for winter? Can a colony start from scratch this time of year?

I had no drawn combs spare so I cut out some brood comb and honey comb and put in frames , i only had foundation frames spare ..
I gave a good feed of syrup with H-alive ...if they make it trough winter I'll be opening a messy bb ....

Thanks deeman. Its all you could have done for them and certainly have a better chance than the predicament they were found in. Lets us know how you get on please.

Going to check my cut out from last week today, they have taken a couple of buckets of feed and are going mad on the ivy:)

My late cut out from last year is doing well spent some time sorting out the messy brood frames, I'm glad they made it

Yes mine made it as well, already moved up into a single brood and filling/drawing comb nicely

Cut out I performed last year... also doing well, overwintered in a polly nuc!

The building that they were remove from was supposed to have been demolished ( that is why I was called in to remove them!).... owner called yesterday to say that the bees are back!!!

Strange that a friend of mine puts a swarm trap in the same place every year and always gets a swarm he got 3 last summer in same spot

Wait a minute where is all their insulation above them? Also why are they building comb sideways! Naughty bees :rules: :icon_204-2:

I have a bait hive in an orchard, I got 3 swarms in 2017 and 3 in 2018. The 3 last year were all within 11 days.
