mead with no tannin

made up some mead the other day and forgot to put tannin in it. not made any for a long time. any thoughts on the lack of this. i used 4lb honey ,lemon zest, 2 tblspns lemon juice an a couple of dozen raisins. the yeast is gervin GV11 5g. if ithe tannin is really needed could i add it later etc. any advice gratefully accepted.cheers.er.........cancel this thread!! its in the raisins isn't it! i had this dim memory of putting a spoonful of cold tea years ago . it was in the sixties and my memory is still banjaxed!

I never put tanning in my mead and last year got a 2nd at the national honey show so would say not needed.

What's your recipe, Tom? Is it nice and simple?

I have some honey starting to ferment, so I'm going to let it go mad with a bit of real yeast.
