I tried to tell Beebase that I now have an out apiary but they insist on a map reference for it before I can register it!! How on earth do I work out what it is...or where can I look to find one???

Thank-you:cheers2:

Is the map reference searchable? It is a crims best piece of information potentially...

Ok so I just went to try and answer my own question...

I was presented with a map to pinpoint my apiary rather than enter co-ordinates...can you not just click on their map?

Oh and I didn't see a way to search for apiary details on the public aspects of the site or from my own logon either.

All the best,
Sam

If you go into streetmap and type in the postode it will show an arrow where this is. Alternately bring up the map of your apiary area and move the arrow to the location At the bottom it gives the co-ordinates and if you click convert the co-ordinates it gives the OS grid reference.

Alt. buy a 1 : 25000 OS survey map.

You can only find your own map references, not anyone elses.

in BING MAPS now display Ordnance survey maps free for britain

so this is North Ottery St Mary, on Bing

Queens, you don't need the postcode.
Just click on (say) your village and then click on move arrow and you can place it on the position of your apiary. Then convert.

If you go onto Streetmap, put the arrow on where your apriary is and the coodinates will appear at the bottom of the map.
Hope this helps.
