I suppose it is possible the capped brood survive the extraction?

Yes, that's what I'm wondering because I assume they return the spun frames to the hives immediately.
Before they started uncapping with a knife, what was that revolving machine into which they briefly dipped each frame? It didn't seem to uncap the brood cells.

I think it was a bee brush, just to remove the bees. It also took away all the QCs.

Yeah he is missed by this beek on here, but there is always other means of following him. I spoke to him today briefly.
