life cycle of the honey bee and varroa mite

I admit it, I am turning in to an anorak. I dropped on this video and thought it was great.

It shows a bee larvae and varroa mite growing up together in the cell over 21days, very interesting and great camera work.

In that case I must be too, I was fascinated. Don't miss the passing mention of a newly observed resistance mechanism at the end!

I saw the bit about the cocoon squashing varroa at the bottom but the video is 4years old, so that is still correct but not widely known or that particaluar line of resistance has never been developed any further or monitored, (if thats what you were refering to)
