can laying workers draw q cells - i know theyre not fertile and have heard of king cells, so do these look just like q cells?

i think i have a laying worker colony with multiple eggs in cells, but there are drawn charged cells too identical to q cells

thanks in advance

Yes, they can, but they are not viable as they contain an unfertilised egg.

Yes it's very common in my experience that LWs make QCs from drone larvae. Again just my experience but they seem to only do this when the workers first start laying. After a while the seem to stop doing it. Ive found ive had more success recovering the situation when they are building Qcs perhaps this is because the are still desperately trying to make a Q
