BTW: D'you remember the days when dentists didn't wear gloves? As a (retired) gastroenterologist I recall that I (and colleagues) didn't wear gloves when passing gastroscopes. It all changed in mid 1980s: guess why?

Actually, they are likely the ones that the doctors didn't wear!! Hence the cheap prices close to their expiry date!!!

That's broadly what happened to me in 1995 in an Indian bus station earlyin the morning darkness when I nudged what I thought was a rag but was cow poo. Not funny when in sandals and no socks ................

I find latex gloves tear more easily than Nitrile. I use nitrile for messy car mechanicking: far better than latex..

Are you sure it was from a cow? my brother and his partner were out there this year and they were shocked at the locals propensity to just squat down whenever the urge took them - toilet in public rather than public toilets!

Dunno about that - back in my old airport days there were times when suspected 'swallowers' had to be held at the hospital due to leakage possibilities - lacking the proper hermetically sealed equipment we had to (literally) go through the motions by hand - regardless of the gloves the sensation of it squishng through my fingers is one I don't think I'll ever forget
