I am bottling my honey in half lb jars and have ordered labels from Thornes , is it best to have the large or small labels please.

Measure the jar, look at the label sizes Thorne publishes, each label or series of labels has its size listed . I am currently using Thorne labels that are ± 64mm x 44mm on 227g (8oz) hexagonal jars. They look fine to me, they could have been larger or even smaller. To arrive at my chosen size I took my trusty tape measure to the shops and measured the size of similar jars and labels then decided what I liked the look of.

Bear in mind that there is content which must appear on the label, but also you do not want the label so big that it obscures a good view of the honey. That is what you are selling after all.
I design and print my own. Easy enough with publisher. I print small batches so can easily change the date or lot number

I also use Thorne's labels on round 12oz jars. Use large ones as they stand out better on the shop shelf. Most customers are regulars so know the quality of the honey. So no need to see the honey in the places I sell it.
