This pair ran in front of the car, staying on the track, as I slowly drove behind them for about 200 yards. I've seen sheep do that a lot. I don't know why I thought birds might be smarter.

Same thing happens when I drive up the side of a hedge into my main apiary . They don’t seem to realise they could go into the field!!!!
 
One of many silly things I've done recently but they're not getting the space on my desk any longer. I should add that I discarded these earlier queens because of doubts about being properly mated.Opened queen cells.jpg
