Hard frost Tuesday night and all day yesterday windy and chilly, today again is a typical winter day and not that much activity around the hives - has it finally arrived?

Haven't heard of any big falls yet but a few seen last weekend - they may have been local stock, Once the winter starts properly in Scandahoovia we should start seeing more come the next full moon, I don't like to start shooting or hunting until the proper frosts set in :)

it was a good day here today also, the bees were hard at it again today. :willy_nilly:

Only a hop, skip and a jump up the M4 from you and hovering around 13º, although they get up later and go in earlier, it's business as usual still bringing pollen in?

Bees Still busy here today, pollen going in but slowing down a bit now, starting later and all back in by 2.30pm ish bee-smillieChris

No.

This time last year we were under snow and it was very cold indeed.

No sign of that yet. Our main weather comes over the Atlantic, with a space of approx 6 days so watch their weather.

Watch for stores too.

Same story here. Still warm but for the wind. Forecast is still in double figures temperature wise for the next few days, too.

Down into single figures here for the last couple of weeks but still not winter yet

Pleasantly warm cycle ride here today and lots of wild flowers, not a November day at all. Don't recall anything like it in all my years. Seedlings germinating in the garden, (and weedlings), just wondering what I can plant to capitalise on it!

Temp was 11Deg today. Bee's bringing in pollen (dark burnt orange colour) Hefted hives, strongest colony has lost a lot of weight the past two weeks. still feeding both with fondant. This time last year it was below zero all day.

.
2 days ago it was here -10 and now +6.

When west wind comes over Norwegian mountains, the air warms up.

12˚ here this afternoon, bees coming and going bringing in who knows what.
It's now blowing a real hoolie and it's absolutely persisting!!!

This is the sunset on this day last year
