You will get there, now you know how easy it is to make a mistake!

Your other mistake was shaking them onto the grass. Try to avoid that. Very young bees will not be able to fly too well. Even into the roof is better.

Aah yes, we did notice that they didn't seem to know what to do - so we gave them a ramp up to the landing board - which was appreciated by returning foragers loaded with pollen!
