I've been eating the most delicious honey in the world from a tiny Hebridean island for 17 years now and I finally got inspired to try it for myself. I take on board the idea of joining a local group and learning for a year, but they're meeting at the wrong times for me. Anyone near Newcastle upon Tyne willing to give a spot of coaching in return for some help around your hives?
Not quite sure whether I'll ever get set up with my own hives, my wife REFUSES to have been in the garden....

I thought it might be! I worked in the hotel there when I was 18. Hoping to go back soon as I have a friend who lives there now and she suggested a holiday house swap. Do you go often?
