Ho all, I have purchased a hand held microscope to look at what is exactly on the tray, it's amazing to say the least, from the obvious Varroa, to pollen to body parts, the one thing that I am unsure exactly what it is, is the purple bits, I have attached a few pics.

Looks like pollen, maybe from Poppy.
You could invest in the Rex Sawyer pollen identification book, you will need a decent microscope and a little bit of other kit, also if you are real interested look at Graham Royals “ Through the looking glass” it’s a great book, if you get hooked like I did you will have a brilliant winter (y)
 
I still have a lot to learn I thought pollens were from white to gold in colour, never dreamt that this was pollen 🙈🤣
