Inspection tray / Varroa Board

Quick question.

Just wondered if these are available to buy separately? Normally I've only got them along with the mesh floor.

Your local hardware shop should stock sheets of the stuff and a Stanley knife will cut it to size. The stuff you require is called fluted board and it comes in a variety of thicknesses but for the beehives you will need 4mm. Here is an example:

Before you mess on making spare inspection trays/boards or whatever you want to call them, make sure you use the same company when buying open mesh floors, just saying..

If you can find someone some old election posters (the correx type) they make good inspection trays with very little work.

Find someone who works at the local council depot. most have a man whose job it is to go around ripping down and disposing all the fly posted correx boards that crop up at roundabouts and road junctions.
