I'm taking my first bbka module exam.

That is irrelevant. If this forum refuses to allow contrary views, or indeed criticism of the way it is run then it is just as dogmatic.
Very relevant AFAIC, just the same as it doesn't allow advertising. Now if the BBKA would like to contribute to the forum as it is being used to promote them, fair enough.

On the contrary, the relevance is the fact that this forum exists.
This forum encourages contrary views, it's almost obligatory as is challenging dogmatic points of view in all its guises.
Which would be a far better approach than supporting them and perpetuating poor advice, which is what you do by signing up to their modules.

I am not tempted to be as dogmatic as you about that.
As a strategy polarisation and exclusivity are not great ways to make for a more productive, collaborative and engaged system of learning. What other 'universal' learning system exists for the hobbyist and average beekeeper?
“Perpetuating poor advice” as you claim is a factor the more experienced individual and (study) groups can challenge effectively and directly by engaging with those who create syllabus and modules. However there remains the issue of the less experienced who may be adversely influenced by either dogmatic stance.

B+ ( where is he now???)...
found that he ( an a few others) were given a very cold shoulder when asked for help and evaluation of the new queen rearing module ( or whatever they called it).

I think it is the ones at the top who pass on this pomposity... shirley???

Unless one has letters after ones name or some other nonsense Monika then one isn't worthy, though RP seems to manage quite well.

Isn't that just this country through and through Steve? Not just in this situation.
That sort of hackneyed self-importantance can be seen the wolrd over.

If the BBKA are failing to meet their own stated objectives its up to the members to canvas/lobby the board of trustees or the variuos committee representatives, all of whom are listed and contactable, to demand change. The big question is do the membership care enough to address the shortcomings?

I seem to remember the Basterfields tried
We had a member here get on the board of trustees with great hopes. He lasted one season before he threw his arms up in defeat

I have no kowledge of that, though that information does explain some of the more vehement replies/responses. There is always the charity commission to appeal to or even just ask advice from them.
