Why is someone called a scrote just because they got there early paid for the items then sold them on. You have no idea of that persons life or what they are going through. I take offence at you calling them a scrote just because they sold them on for more.

It seems to me that we are jumping to rather a lot of conclusions.

Perhaps but was commenting on the thread in general
Personally I am in the camp if someone wants to take the risk of selling on an item it's up to them and I bet no great profit in it

That is a good bet, but there are some amazing success stories of eBay traders doing much the same.

In this case Argos or whatever company the OP mentioned are not the manufacturer so I guess so they have bought it and are selling it on. Loads of our beekeeping equipment is manufactured elsewhere (where it can be purchased at retail) but is brought into the country and we buy it for a higher retail price because it's convenient.

My knickers are not in a twist about it really.

Sorry, you're right Veg, lots of assumptions, just a very selfish practice IMHO, like people who buy concert tickets in bulk.

Anyone who buys on ebay without checking competitive prices is naive at best and a numpty at worst.

Competitive purchasing is easy with the internet, Amazon and google so there is no excuse not to.

Anyone who does not and buys a Lidl item for more on ebay deserves to pay more in my view.

Life is unfair, suggesting otherwise is the province of politicians - who are usually much richer and better educated than their supporters.

Selfish not really perhaps greedy or capitalism in full flow but did they sell the item? If not then they may be stuck with something they obviously did not want and backfired on them.

Listing an item at a certain price is one thing but selling at that price another and if someone bought it then fair play as Ebay is full of similar items and some cheaper than the original one at Lidl.

One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he
asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money
from you, I'm doing community service this week.'
The florist was pleased and left the shop.
When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a
'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door.
Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing
community service this week.' The cop was happy and left the shop.
The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank
you' card and a dozen doughnuts waiting for him at his door.
Then a Member of Parliament came in for a haircut, and when he went to
pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from
you. I'm doing community service this week.' The Member of Parliament
was very happy and left the shop.
The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen
Members of Parliament lined up waiting for a free haircut.
And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between
the citizens of our country and the politicians who run it.

Why oh why cant we vote for guys like this;
