Friend near Chester has a swarm ...
I live in Oldham..it's about an hours drive away.
Is that too far?

It's ch3 postcode ... Is there anyone nearer want a swarm?

we have a 10 frame nuc going cheep at walnut allotments in Bury, a bit closer.

Too far? Surely that's your decision not ours!!

Quite so...currently sat in a pub in Shrewsbury having met up with OH coming back off train waiting to close up on another probably multiqueen swarm. Hiving them in the dark will be sporty...

I think in this weather we're not going to go.

Is there anyone nearer who wants them or is there a number to ring for local beekeepers?

if you wanted bees for free then why not go pick them up

Swarm collected last night...just before it rained and rehoused at 10pm in a TBH nuc. Seem to be black bees but a little too late to tell.

Thanks to Alldigging for the information.
