I better have a word with Harrods, put the honey in some fancy blue jars with a picture of green fields and daffodils and call it welsh pure honey and make a fortune ;)

you should do well with those 42 supers of prize winning honey:)

Original poster trying to prove that it does not always rain in Manchester?

I've been feeding mine most of the season. This year I am getting nuffink. At least they polinated my allotment.

Greater Manchester covers a large area . I normally average 100lb plus per colony ; not this year . All uncapped honey in supers has been consumed ,there's just a small amount of capped stuff in each super :(

Got another 120lb between me and father in law today but I'm gonna say thats about it unless the weather gets better. Loads of lime trees and white clover but the weathers so rubbish for the girls.

my first full year and not even enough to get them through winter let alone some for me hope things get better theyre trying so hard bless em :angelsad2:

Just wonder if I'm doing it wrong in my first season!

They took ages even to start the first super, but now I'm putting one on per week. Just put on the fourth. And they seem full - though hardly capped yet. Guess the bees are hedging their bets.

But with a bit of luck I should get a reasonable crop.

Dusty.

Apart frtom today (constant cold rain) mine have been foraging like mad the last week - practically filled a whole super since last Wednesday on the strongest hive - half a super on the other two and now the Willowherb and balsam's flowering:hurray: (must be careful not to be too cheerful at that being the representative of the county's anglers!:D)

same here, honey in supers, but v slow capping, on third super at weekend.

Although did notice that lowest super had slightly less honey in central frames than previous week - hungry bees!!

Some coming in , even in the rain .

Problem is the bottom super on most hives is empty , too much crap weather and they have eaten it all .
Lime almost over too just to cheer me up even more.
