Just to let you know that over the weekend I have received reports of the vandalism of an apiary site at Swithland, with the removal of some equipment from the site - but also hives on the site destroyed by fire, the property of a BBKA member, but not local association member.
The equipment removed from the site is Langstroth - so is not that often found in our County.
What is the world coming to. It would seem that Beekeepers in the Charnwood Area will need to be extra vigilant with their sites.
Isolation of the site seems to be no protection.
