Hi from Kent UK. I'm a newbie looking forward to keeping bee's. I have joined a local club and slowly learning the craft.

I have not managed to secure bees this year, so it's probably going to be next season.

Try and make sure they are relatively gentle to start with. Make the most of your first year when the bees are building up and everything is pristine and new. If you go to the blog page on this site and put my name in the filter there are some stories on there that might help you decide where to put your hive etc.

Get as much support as you can from local club. If not done already, and they run one, enrol for the winter theory course. I thought I knew a lot until I did. Still learning after over a decade. Enjoy.
