Hi just thought I would introduce myself.
I am currently working my way through the basic bee keeping course on the Wirral and have just completed my order for two colonies and 3 cedar hives.

About to build the hive stands and get things ready so very exited about getting the bees while a little daunted by the responsibility.

Have great instructors and help locally from them so I count myself very lucky. This forum seems a great resource.

I have just finished my course and have signed up to a local association. I am going to do their course as well to ram home the lessons learned.
I want a colony but if I get hands on at the Apiary, I will gain confidence.
I hope I get one soon as the thought of watching the bees going about their business will make me very happy!
Good luck with your colony I meant. I didn’t mean to bring divine intervention into this.

The advice of your local associations has high kudos in my estimation, here you can get great, useful, ideas and information, but it is not "local", the Wirral and the north east have very different climates from say Somerset, or even Bedfordshire, so garner your local views earnestly, but use this site for good general opinions about all things Bee ish
