There is a lot of information about possible maximal times from a queen hatching to a queen laying, but what are the minimal times people have experienced?

I made up a nucleus with a spare QC (No others present on the comb) that I know hatched between 26th and 27th June. Laying today (6th July -10 days later).

A couple of casts I had have also produced laying queens in roughly same time span.

What are others experiences?

About 2 weeks is our quickest

We cut a spare queen cell out of a swarmy colony and gave it to a desperate nuc. We checked week later to see if they had looked after it, and it had emerged. Skipped the inspection the week after, this weeks inspection, eggs everywhere.

That sounds quick - more normal for me has been 2 weeks ish.

What's this? A blooming race?
If so, I'm not playing.

(cos my last two are dead slow if they've got there at all.)
