Oh, I thought the tip goes 'bronzed' just before she emerges? In any case it will be a miracle if this Q emerges and is any good. I checked the Apidea today, and the bees were roaring, had a look and the Q cell had fallen to the floor, I think a fox/dog had nosed around and knocked the Apidea. After spraying the bees with water and putting it back, they calmed down. I will know tomorrow, if its dead or not.

Yes it was a dark colour like in the video, today's the day, dud or beautiful queen.

OH! The suspense of it all.........will the cell produce a queen or is it a dud. There is a way to quickly check if the cell is OK or not. But we won't go down that road now.
