Possibly...5 and a bit...depends on the bees.
Today was inspection day....the Flow colony has sealed most of the gaps in the flow frames and cleared all the wax I painted on them.
Today.....we saw the first two cells with nectar in them!!!!!
I'm hoping when the new queen starts laying...that they move the nectar in the broodbox upstairs.

Did an inspection of the langstroth colony today...all looks good with the colony. So we decided to have a look in the Flow frames to see if any nectar was being stored...the weather lately has been very iffy. Today is poor as well...very windy and cold but the bees are out all the time especially when the sun comes out for a few minutes!
We lifted one frame out ...it was quite heavy. We could see the cells are almost full and so lifted a second one which was heavier. Bother have rings of wax around the tops of the cells so it looks like they may be about to start capping them. Feeling hopeful! If we could just have one week of good weather! Sigh!
