found what i think is some woodpecker damage

yesterday, as i went to put woodpecker protection on....

claws (scraping) on top of a poly hive with a round hole 1/3rd through where super met brood box

have used loose fruit netting and will check again in a day or so

Maybe and have you filled or replased the super with one that is not damaged? You can get polu hive filler from paynes bee farm.
