Thanks Kazmcc, that's a lovely offer and I am down in Manchester every other week going to a warehouse down there. Our local Beekeepers soc are holding open afternoons (well, numbers are limited) at their apiary so I will be attending some of those too.

I could have purchased a nuc, added the remaining brood comb and bees to that and got going but looking at where I can place a hive here, having no backup place if the neighbours get fidgety, no experience, only an absolute minimum of 'tools and hive bits' etc, it just seems best to get properly organised first and put the Bee's best interests first.

I do feel somewhat deflated though!

Perhaps I can live a vicarious beek life through you lot till next year.
